Photographing a scene can be difficult if there are no clouds in the sky. While a flock of migrating birds flew overhead, I decided to focus my camera on the waxing moon, capturing an image that appears to be spontaneous, dynamic, and lucky. I used a black and white treatment to keep the viewer's attention on the formation of the flock and the phase of the moon.
