Whimsical and wondrous, the ocean is a beautiful mystery. We often imagine what creatures and secrets lie within this magical underwater world. I wanted to capture that whimsical wonder and the beauty of the calming blue waves, combining hand drawn line work with watercolor textures, while being inspired by Japanese wave wood block printing. I thought this was the perfect subject matter to invoke dreams and wonder in children of all ages.
