I have always loved botanical prints of flora & fauna and love seeing gallery style displays of these beautiful sketches and paintings, whether they are smaller groupings or larger groupings there is something so lovely and pleasing about being surrounded by this botanical, and scientific exploration of nature. That was when I became intrigued with the idea of creating a, colorful, more playful interpretation of a botanical gallery with loose painterly sketches of flowers from the garden. My approach is more interpretive than scientific, to capture the spirit of being in the garden surrounded by the flowers and colors from nature, to literally bring the garden indoors.
