Lisa makes her porcelain forms on the pottery wheel and each piece is one of a kind. Every glaze is made from recipes in her studio and she loves to experiment. Her colored porcelains are also made in her San Francisco studio from recycled trimmings and mason stain. Her main inspirations for the design driven and form focused works are mid-century Scandinavian ceramics. She is an artist in many mediums and finds clay to be a satisfying means to direct her creative energy into a beautiful object that focuses on form, line, shape and color. Her pieces are meant to be decorative, for the eye and for the heart.
