This handsome deer is inspired by Prancer in "A Visit From St. Nicholas" by Clement C. Moore. Prancer is affectionate like his friend, Cupid and loves prancing as his name says. I had taken into consideration the balance between serene snowy space and the tension of spreading saturated sepia, raw umber and fawn ink on watery paper. As the juxtaposition, "Prancer" is a good complementary to another watercolor piece, "Merry Christmas, Comet & Cupid" for the winter wall-decoration.
