I was working with a palette of blue greys, white, silver and black and large Japanese brushes when this painting finally came together. It took many sessions to get the right saturation of color. I also wanted to have a balance of some matte and gloss areas which required different types of acrylic paint. When I felt the painting was resolved the name "moonbeam" seemed to fit!
