This painting is another of my drip series. I love to drip paint because you never know where it will end up! I am always taking chances! I first did some underpainting for color and texture. Then I drip and watch as gravity does its work forcing the paint to find its way down over ridges of texture. I also love the palette of whites, greys and black which are so pure - flawless!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting.
