My dear friend gave my daughters a couple caterpillars which formed their magical cocoons. Every day we'd check with anticipation, eager to see their progress. Although we didn't catch the moment this one emerged from its cocoon, it was pretty spectacular to have a close-up view as this monarch butterfly dried off its wings and learned how to walk and fly.
