The desert is a magical place. Ethereal at both sunrise and sunset. Glowing cacti, sun-washed rocks, and warm neutral colors create a mysterious and unique environment that I just love to photograph. I can get lost in the metamorphic rocks, searching for cacti and plants that find little pockets to grow and thrive. This image was taken in Joshua Tree National Park and is meant to be paired with Mojave Diptych II, or can be printed and displayed alone.
