Vase of flowers, flowers bouquets and floral arrangements are a passion of mine. It comes from child memories and goes on into gardening and ceramic vases making. Not surprisingly this love is evident at an endless number of sketches, paintings, collages, doodles, and the list go on. In this example, part of a series of experiments, I play with positive negative space, India ink painted stylized flowers, and the spontaneity of drawing with oil pastel crayons. The support is an off-white paper. Play and experiment are the tonic of those vase of flowers.
