I have always loved, and been inspired by nature. Most of my illustrative work reflects that love as inspiration as all around, and in abundance. I'm especially drawn to details that at times are overlooked in nature. I gathered inspiration for this particular piece from my mom's young banana plant that she's been growing for for a few years in the Atlanta area. I love capturing, and emphasizing the organic wavy playful lines of the leaves. It's a small'ish plant right now but it has a big personality and so much potential. This plant also reminds me of my families origin from Cuba, and in a way it brings the tropics indoors. I hope to inspire curiosity, and joy with this piece.
