Painting with oil paints on paper allows me to play with paint translucency. This piece is an abstract exploration of the horizon - how the sky and earth connect and the colors that I love in both spheres... Rich blues, verdant and sappy greens, unexpected shocks of pink and golds. The process of painting slows things down for me so I notice and appreciate what makes the world so changeable and beautiful.
