When I travel in Hawaii I always bring my sketchbook. However this time, I did not bring my paints or bright colored markers. So, I had to rely on my black and white markers while surrounded by the colorful world of Hawaii. I was surprised and delighted by the result. I focused more on shape and form and thus a new series was born. To start this series, I drew a potted anthurium plant which is a well known hawaiian plant and has great looking flowers and leaves. So, if you have a black thumb, this piece is perfect for you.
