I love illustrating naturally beautiful animals. Leopards are on the top of the list for me in that regard. My go to for designs is usually animals. I love all animals and surround myself with them. I have 5 cats, 2 dogs, a chinchilla, lizard and a pig! All are rescues. I also foster cats and have anywhere from 1 to 13 foster(the current record)cats/kittens. I have always loved creating animals in different mediums since I was young. I find animals to be naturally beautiful, cute and or unique. Large cats in particular are gorgeous and mysterious. I like the challenge of illustrating their ferociousness while maintaining there gentle beauty. I like them to be the focus without distractions in the background. I think that is what gives this piece in particular a contemporary aesthetic. To further explain my reason for this design, Egyptians revered Leopards as good luck. I feel like art depicting Leopards not only evokes a powerful feeling, but also brings a positive vibe to a home. In short Leopards are awesome!
