This watercolor painting is part of my abstract burst series that involved exploring the shapes and colors present in flower petals. When looking at the center of a flower, the growth and layering of the petals can create a bursting and blooming effect. I love looking close up at flowers and exploring the abstract shapes and patterns their petals create.
