I am continually inspired by my home in the Sonoran Desert, where sandstone is abundant. The pinkish shade and the curves made from the wind on this soft stone were the starting point for the fluid shapes in this piece. The organic shapes are balanced by linear and organized elements that balance what is wild and was is not in this mystic place of sand and sun. Sandstone Dunes II pairs well with its complement, Sandstone Dunes I.
