In college I had to take an entry level geology class where I spent most of my time doodling stones in my notebook. I loved studying all of the rocks and geodes and the different properties they all had. Each one is unique and you never know what the inside could look like. With this piece I wanted to paint a simple take on an agate slice with beautiful rings and meddling colors.
