I am a mixed media artist in Chicago, IL inspired by nature, art history and travel. My work celebrates the natural abundance around us all and also reflects the beauty of the world we create. My work seeks new ways to integrate traditional painting & printmaking techniques with modern design and universal themes.

Monotypes are one-of-a-kind prints that are transferred to paper with the use of a traditional or digital press or rubbing by hand. The images are created through applications of ink applied to the paper and manipulated. Other techniques can also be combined with the transfer technique to achieve a distinct layering effect. Stephanie Toral’s versatile printmaking process results in painterly textures and surface effects that are truly unique.
