About this Painting:
When I finished this painting, my husband joked that I was thinking of him with all the knife action! Not sure why? Haha! So, I named it for him. I love the fast swipes of the palette knife creating movement and color saturation in a neutral palette.

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting.
