At California’s San Andreas faultline, the hills jut upwards as the Earth’s plates slide against one another. Inspired by the colors of the land between the sea and mountains along this stretch of highway, I’ve sought to capture the movement and uncertainty of this place. This painting pairs well with its sister piece, Moving Mountains 1.
