This moody abstracted landscape was inspired by my home in Utah. I am surrounded by snowy mountains for the majority of the year, and while the winters can be long and cold, they can be mesmerizing and beautiful. A fresh snowfall always makes me feel like a kid again. Using oil paint and gold leaf I created this painting of golden capped mountains in wintertime.
