Drawing influence from the flora and fauna of East Texas, Sarah works with acrylics, ink, coffee grounds, and mixed media to paint deconstructed petals and plants falling into spacious and relaxing forms on the canvas. Layers of paint are poured, dripped, and scraped in several layers mimicking forest floors and underbrush. Lush strokes of color, texture, and delicate line are reminiscent of foliage and wings.
