Surround yourself with the serenity of a beautiful winter day in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Some recent snow had blanketed this dense area of trees, and with the clouds framing in the tree line at a unique angle I felt compelled to stop and capture this. In the color version (powder sky) I love how you get a hint of the blue sky reflecting off of the white snow for a cool tone. In the black and white version, your attention turns from the sky to the detail and clarity in the trees.
