This image is one of a series I took of window reflections in downtown Albuquerque. While many of the vintage motels along Old Route 66 have been refurbished or are under renovation, there are other motels on less visible streets that stand neglected and faded. This reflection picked up the washed-out reds of an old motel sign standing tall against a classic Southwestern sky, and the rusted metal screen across the window gave the image even more of a dusty, bygone look.
