I've always been drawn to the simple graphic shapes of folk art, where one image can represent an entire story. This art print was inspired by the traditional song 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. I chose to illustrate the repeating chorus - 'Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree'. The result is a bold contemporary piece with a clear folk art aesthetic.
