Painting the human form is always a challenging and equally exciting experience for me. In this piece, I really like how I was able to capture the shape of a woman overlooking the horizon with just a few watercolor strokes. The overall composition is meant to be subtle, focusing on hints left by some of the shadows. The finished piece is meant to evoke fleeting memories from the spectator, whether of themselves or of someone they once may have seen in a similar circumstance, adding a nostalgic quality to this art piece.
