A moth isn't usually classified as desirable like a butterfly is, yet up close, its lines and shapes are just as beautiful. This piece was inspired by my six year old, who gathers insects, brings them inside and builds homes for them. I love watching her tell all of these bugs how beautiful they are and that they will turn into something beautiful one day (even though nearly all of them will remain exactly as they are.) I am inspired by her and the beauty she sees.
