Mended is a mixed media fusion of photography and digital painting. The journey began with an abstract painterly photograph created using ICM technique. I then used watercolor strokes to paint onto the image digitally, experimenting, blending and finishing the painting. This mixed media project is one of my first experiments with digital painting. The process left me feeling fulfilled, despite the learning curve - a bit like a scuffed up knee, healing with a bandaid. The creative process allowed me to come out my comfort zone and helped me grow, feeling mended and ready to tackle more.
